The season came to a conclusion for most at today’s Wpial Championships. I say most because Michael Kozy completed his season long journey finishing 18th overall (215 total runners) and punching his ticket to Hershey for the PIAA State Finals. The rest of the team ran well enough to finish in the top half of the field, beating 17 other teams from district 7.

A special shout out goes to Dakota Mayfield who ran the final race of his career. Dakota has showed steady progress over his two seasons. His lack of speed was made up for by his effort and love for the program. Dakota will certainly be missed.

Wpial times:

Kozy – 18:16 (18th)
Anthony – 19:55 (55th)
Brandebura – 21:31 (109th)
Samangy – 21:35 (116th)
O’Leary – 22:42 (137th)
Good – 26:28 (188th)
Mayfield – 31:02 (209th)
